MAKEEdesign
The idea of MAKEEdesign came out in Christmas 2006. My daughter had
asked
me to sew her a lampshade covered in candy wraps of Marianne. When I finished
the lampshade, I found it funny and decided to use the rest of the other candy
wraps for a new creation. In the next morning, my daughters saw the very first
MAKEEdesign product: a small bag.
The story of MAKEEdesign spread out fast. The company was found in autumn 2007
and since then I got employed as a designer and seamstress. During these two
years, I have also been inspired by other recycled materials, such as plastic
and reflectors.
Products of MAKEEdesign can be bought in Finland and abroad. In Finland, for
example, Taito Shops and some design boutiques sell products. The products can
also be bought in the Internet.
Moreover, MAKEEdesign have been seen in media. Articles and interviews have been
published in numerous of magazines, in the radio and shortly on TV. The idea
of the company is based on recycling, in its all forms.
Most of all, I hope my products would make you smile and maybe give you some
new ideas about recycling!
